Milad Mozari leading the initial workshop
During the series of workshops, the notion of music, sound, and image-making was explored through demonstration and group participation. There was an introduction to basic concepts of sight and sound through a selection of objects and microphones to explore the physics of sound and performance. Improvisation rather than notation is used to explore sound and play music. At the end of the workshop, the students had the chance to create their own collage. Working in groups, students used their phones to take images, record sounds, and compile them into collages using free online software.
